The Adventure Begins

We left the comfort of Debordieu this morning to begin the first leg of our trip. We had about a four hour trip ahead of us to get to the Charlotte airport. My Mom and Dad were kind enough to give us a ride as they were on their way to see Gramma Ginny for her 96th birthday.

To get Georgetown, SC to Charlotte isn't the most direct route, but we were able to see a solid stretch of the South Carolina interior. There were some cool small towns like Lake City and Camden that would be worth spending a few hours in if we had the time. Beautiful old homes in towns surrounded by Soy, Tabaco and Corn. The trip was broken up with a lunch stop in Camden at the Sub Station II, before jumping back on the road for the last hour and a half of the drive.

We arrived at the Charolotte airport two and half hours before our departure and had no one in front of us at the security line.  Sitting at our departure gate now, next stop Barcelona.

  1. You should definitely buy a young ferret on Las Ramblas like I did. Then leave it in the hotel lobby of the next city you visit bc it terrorizes your travel companions.
